The Trustee's of Lodge 912 would like to remind everyone
that you may purchase union apparel from any trustee at the
lodge meetings. Several items are available including
Tee shirts, golf items, mugs, cup holders, and other items.
Some of the designs can be seen below. Prices vary on
items and sizes. Sizes run from small to 3X.
It is time to buy American! Can you locate any clothing made in the
USA? So far, I have located socks! Hanes still make socks in the USA
and I found them at Kohls. They have to be one of the last US manufactures
of socks that have not completely pulled out of the US. I found some
Canadian manufactured items in the JC Penneys catolog. That was a pleasant
surprise, but still not the USA. I don't like buying Chinese products
because the American manufactures are trying to save labor costs by exploiting
their workers and telling us what a great job they are doing by saving us money
at the checkout. I'll pay a bit extra and I know I am really saving money
in the long run. I don't shop China Mart stores either, because I know
that they exploit their workers also. I know a lot of people feel as I do,
so lets help each other out.
If you find clothing, toys, cooking supplies, or anything that you would buy
that was MADE IN THE USA, let me know. I will put it on the web and maybe
